go on的on是介词还是副词

副词

1、 继续向…前进：

The plane stops in Shanghai before going on to Beijing. 飞机在上海停留一下，接着继续飞向北京。

2、 先去，前去(某地)：

I'll go on to the office and leave the briefcase， and meet you here afterwards. 我先到办公室去放公文箱，然后在这里与你碰头。 

3、 转入，开始(另一行动)：

The Chairman said that as time was short， we should go on to the next item. 主席说由于时间短，我们应转入下一项议程。

4、 开始(另一工作时间的安排)：

Many factories have had to go on to short time because trade is so bad. 由于交易清淡，许多工厂不得不缩短工作时间。

介词后面是必须要接宾语的（所有介词都必须接宾语），而 go on 后面的 to…显然不可能是宾语。
