be one of the加单数还是复数

be one of the后面应该加复数名词。因为英语短语one of...的意思是......之一，那么只能在多数中的之一。但是谓语动词要用单数形式，因为是他们中的一个。例如，this is one of the symbols in Australia.这个是澳大利亚的象征之一。

be+one of the +形容词最高级+可数名词复数。所以加定语从句修饰名词作定语。

one of的用法：

一、当one of在句首时，谓语动词用单数。

二、one of+最高级+名词复数

诺尔曼白求恩是中国最著名的'英雄之一，但他不是中国人，他是加拿大人。 这里 most 之前有 China's 这样的限定语了，就不要 the 了。the，a 与 this，that 与 my，your 这三类限定词， 只能用一个， 不能同时用。

三、one of后面直接加可数名词复数

例如：

1、She is oneof those vain people who never take others' advice.

她属于那种自负得从不听别人劝告的人。

2、Oneof the gangsters was caught by the police.

歹徒之一被警察逮捕。

四、one of在定语从句中的用法，看one前面有没有定冠词the来区分：

1、He is oneof the boys who enjoy playing basketball.

他是喜欢打篮球的男孩之一。

定语从句修饰 the boys。

2、He is the only oneof the boys who enjoys playing basketball.

他是这些男孩中唯一一个喜欢打篮球的。

one 前面有定冠词the的时候，定语句是修饰one的，所以动词要用单三形式。
