现在分词前可以有冠词。这也是和动名词的区别
例如：a falling leave
The sleeping boy is Tom.
又如:
1）a moving blackboard正在移动的黑板（moving：现在分词，a moving blackboard=a blackboard which is moving）
2）a walking tractor手扶拖拉机（walking：现在分词，awalking tractor=a tractor which is walking）
例如：
1）The news is very exciting．（exciting：现在分词）
2）Laying eggs is her full－time job．（laying：动名词）
现在分词具有形容词的性质，所以可以用作表语。这种现在分词已变作形容词，可以有比较形式，也可被very等副词修饰，如：interesting，promising，shocking，charming，amusing等。
The situation proves encouraging.
形势是令人鼓舞的。
This book is more interestingthan any that I've ever read.
这本书比我读过的都更有趣。
