Disinterested or uninterested Judge? 连母语为英语的人也很容易混淆这两个单词。到底形容法官的时候要选哪个词呢
Disinterested是公正、无私的意思，而uninterested是指不感兴趣。虽然都在interested前加了前缀，但含义不同，用法不同。
Uninterested：是 interested 的反义词，意思是“不感兴趣的，觉得无聊的”
例句：
The kids wanted to play outside and were very uninterested in doing any studying.
孩子们想去外面玩，对学习一点兴趣也打不起精神。
Disinterested的意思是：
impartial， objective or not taking a side in an argument.无偏见的，客观的，在争论中不站队的
Sometimes a stranger can make a disinterested and fair decision more easily than a family member.
有时候，陌生人反而能比家人做出更客观、公平的决定。
所以，回到开头那个问题，法官在判案的时候，应该保持 disinterested不站队的态度，而不是uninterested不感兴趣的态度
