没有on Mars的用法

Mars属于专有名词，必须在前面加上定冠词 the

mars是众多行星中的一个，命名为Mars， 首字母大写，就像北京是众多城市中的一个一样，Beijing首字母大写

如:

Walking  on the Mars is my dream.

His  ambition is to be the first astronaut of China to step on the Mars．他的雄心壮志是成为第一个登上火星的中国宇航员

the表示特指，而专有名词具有专有独一性，本身就表示特指，所以一般情况专有名词前不加the。

但是有些情况，会加the：

1、the + 姓氏复数，表示一家人

the Greens 格林一家人

the Blacks布莱克一家人

2、部分普通名词构成的专有名词

the Great Wall 长城

the Summer Palace 颐和园

（wall和palace是普通名词，表示墙壁和宫殿，但此处要表示特指体现专有独一性，加the。）

3、江河海域

the Yangtze River 长江

the Nile 尼罗河

the Indian Ocean 印度洋

the Dead Sea 死海

4、山脉群岛沙漠

the Himalayas喜马拉雅山脉

the West Indies西印度群岛

the Sahara撒哈拉沙漠
