Horn of Africa
Without a writing on the wall
It crept in amidst us all
stealing our unripe lives
Mortality more than that by knives.
It's a war!
A chapter that humanity abhor.
Physicians turned soldiers
with so much to shoulder
Medicines turned weapon
as the affliction had us weeping
The messenger of death rent our heart.
Things fell apart.
Man, no longer at ease
Only but on their knees
Our lives are the affliction's debt
The monster dragged us to the den of death.
Where is our haven?
Would it come from heaven?
In the face of its uncounted murder
Sons and daughters refuse to surrender.
Cities went naked
Salvations weren't belated.
Mother Africa strives to humble the foe
It stoops low
Again, our land is a paradise
The world is in suprise
Ages to ages, the triumph shall resonate.
Too early to jubilate?
In the streets are ululations of victory.
Africa has recorded history.
